The airfield/airspace team often utilizes fast-time simulations for demand and capacity analyses, alternatives evaluations, benefit-cost analyses, and construction programming.Responsibilities & Qualifications

• Lead and conduct planning studies and analyze airport facilities and operations
• Simulate airfield and airspace operations including runways, taxiways, and gates using TAAM software
• Analyze simulation modeling input and output data sets
• Analyze flight schedules, study airport fleet mixes, and optimize aircraft gate management systems
• Participate in data collection and survey assignments
• Coordinate and write task analysis results and reports
• Assist in preparing project work scopes and schedules
• Engage client staff, attend client meetings/presentations, and establish positive relationships
• Train junior staff in simulation modeling tools and techniquesQualifications
  • 8-12 years of experience in airfield/airspace planning and simulation, with extensive experience using TAAM software and/or AirTop experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong analytical skills using tools such as Excel, Tableau, etc.
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD, and/or GIS preferred
  • Knowledge of programming (Python, R, etc.) preferred
  • Knowledge and interest in the aviation industry and airport operations
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in engineering, planning, aviation, business, operations research, or related fields is an assetLocation
    • Preferably based in one of our offices in New York, Chicago, San Francisco, or Cincinnati. Remote work from home is also an option for the right candidate.Travel Expectations
      • Ability to travel up to 20% of the year to airport clients and L&B's U.S. and overseas officesAdditional InformationLandrum & Brown is committed to pay equity. As part of that commitment, we have provided the base compensation range of$117,000 - $175,000 annually for this position and local market.
