sustainable, inclusive, and profitable. Job Summary: The Assistant
Plant Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day
operations and management of our Hot Mix Asphalt Plants. This
individual will plan, direct, coordinate the work activities and
resources necessary for safely producing the highest quality
products. This position will work closely and reports to the
Regional Facility Manager/Plant Manager.Essential Functions:
- Protect Family & Friends. Promote safety culture through
employee engagement prioritizing zero incidents, and complying with
all company and federal safety policies and procedures. Ensure
production goals are being safely achieved by taking necessary
corrective actions to resolve safety/quality/reliability/process
related issues and to make the workplace safer.
- Ownership and Caring. Provide appropriate leadership, resources
and processes to ensure consistent plant operations that includes
coordinating production scheduling, ordering raw materials, parts,
and supplies.
- Mastery. Proficient in safely operating asphalt plant and
equipment to produce quality products that meet applicable
specifications and which exceed customer expectations. Identify and
resolve regulatory, safety, personnel, and production problems,
either directly or indirectly, in a timely and effective
manner.
- Maintain up-to-date records to include inventory, inspection
checklists, and financials. Responsible for helping to develop the
annual budget and achieving it.
- Communicate with customers to provide added value with quality,
service, production, and scheduling.
- Plan and establish work schedules, assignments, and production
sequences to meet production and performance goals. Scheduling
preventative maintenance and reducing downtime.
- Focused. Determine remaining life cycle of plant components to
develop maintenance plan and lead winter maintenance
operations.
- Working with our environment department to ensure compliance
with all operating permit conditions and applicable environmental
laws and regulations. Requirements, Education and Experience:1.
High School Diploma or GED preferred.2. Quarry and Asphalt plant
production experience, preferably with 5 years in hot mix asphalt
plant operations and knowledge of multiple types of asphalt plants
and their components. Quality control experience would be
advantageous.3. Demonstrate high ethical standards and a dedicated
commitment to safety.4. Strong mechanical knowledge.5. Proficient
with Microsoft Office. 6. Strong communication skills , proficient
verbal and written English.7. Valid driver's license.8. Proven
dependability, organization, problem solving and adaptability
skills.9. High degree of accuracy, thoroughness and attention to
details.10. Legal right to work in USA.11. Proficient in verbal and
