Colliers Engineering & Design is looking for an Entry-Level Civil/Site Engineer to join our team in the Newburgh, NY office!

Responsibilities

• 
  
• Perform engineering calculations and create estimates -
  
• Develop drawings by modifying or replicating a prior project, applying changes and corrections from redlined drawings, and/or creating drawings from sketches of others or from own design -
  
• Ensure designs are in accordance with company and client production and design standards
  
• Perform QA/QC by verifying design methodology, calculations, outcomes, etc.
  
• Interpret and understand drawings from multiple disciplines for specific projects and respond to requests for information regarding same -
  
• Conduct field inspections and surveys, investigate variables, obtain measurements, photographs, videos, and take notes; write reports documenting same
  
• Research and apply code provisions to design -
  
• Work with senior engineers to create project designs
  
• Create models, including 3D models -
  
• Research design options and document findings for project engineer/manager -
  
• Evaluate, select and apply standard engineering techniques and procedures, using own judgement to make adaptations and modifications to existing designs -
  
• Assist Project Engineers and leaders as needed in the creation of proposals, client information, and designs
  
  Qualifications
  
  • 
    
  • Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university
    
  • EIT candidates preferred
    
  • Interest in Civil/Site Engineering projects; prior experience preferred but not required
    
  • Strong CAD skills, including AutoCAD, HydroCAD, and WaterCAD
    
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills
    
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
    
  • Attention to detail
    
  • Proficiency in Civil3D
    
  • Land Development project experience -
