The role reports to the Operations Manager and is located in Danbury, Connecticut. As a Production Engineering Technician, under supervision, you will be responsible for performing all shipping and receiving with some light assembly in the Force Measurement Workshop.Your responsibilities

  • Shipping/Receiving Duties: Under general supervision, prepare domestic and international shipments of materials, parts, finished goods and related items
  • Check items to be shipped against work orders to ascertain that quantities, destination and routings are correct
  • Some projects/orders will need custom crate construction
  • Shipping duties will include the use of a forklift for loading and unloading tractor trailers
  • Shop Duties: Perform some light assembly of connectors and cables
  • All duties will be performed following ABB's safety procedures and using the proper PPE (Personal Protective Equipment)Your background
    • High school Diploma required and minimum 2 to 4 years of electrical/mechanical experience required
    • Computer proficiency and knowledge of SAP, Outlook, Word and Excel
    • Ability to use shop tools, such as screwdrivers, wrenches, hammers, drill press, soldering iron, cleaning solvents forklift and overhead
    • crane operation
    • Good verbal and writing ability is necessary for internal communication
    • Good organizational skills with multi tasking ability
