UAP North America, is looking for a full-time Paint & Body Technician to join our busy foundry, located in Rock Tavern, NY. UAP collaborates with emerging and renowned artists, architects, developers, and designers; to deliver creative outcomes for the public realm. We engage in all aspects of the delivery process from curatorial services and design development, through to fabrication and installation. Visit uapcompany.com for more information.The Paint & Body Technician will work within our highly skilled team, to prepare, colorize, and protect cast and fabricated artworks.Key Responsibilities of the Paint and Body Technician

• Work within a highly skilled, multi-disciplinary team;
• Bodywork / surface preparation;
• Assisting the Lead Painter in application of paint, primer, and clear-coats to various metals (bronze, aluminum, stainless);
• Careful handling of completed works to crating/delivery teams;
• General understanding of finishes and artwork context to inform maintenance recommendations for outgoing works..
  
  Requirements:
  Qualifications of the Paint and Body Technician
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in paint work (ie: sculptural, automotive, etc);
  • Other metal finishing & fabrication experience a plus;
  • Ability to work under pressure and with minimal supervision;
  • Excellent team player;
  • Strong work ethic and focus on delivery;
