Summary: The Quality Control Technician is a team member who
guarantees continuous production and ensures our hot mix asphalt,
liquid asphalt, cold mix asphalt, crushed stone, sand, and gravel
are consistent with State, Federal and local specifications. The QC
Tech is a well-rounded hard worker, mechanically inclined,
experience and comfortable working in manual labor industries using
related tools, equipment, and machinery. This position would
require extensive travel between the serviced region. Essential
Functions: Reliably perform all required tests as referenced in the
Procedures section of PII's Quality Control Program. Strive to
produce the highest quality material in the most cost-effective
mannerAchieve and maintain familiarity with the operation of all
production equipment and facilities. This is essential to be able
to diagnose and correct any production deficiencies that may arise.
An awareness of plant maintenance schedules, plant production
schedules, and a consistent dialogue with equipment operators and
plant managementMaintain timely consistent communication with plant
management so they are well informed of test results and any issues
which may affect the quality of our materials. Excellent sense of
the upcoming schedule and production requirementsMaintain clear,
concise, organized, and accurate records of all quality control
testing at all production facilities. Maintain a clean, safe
working environment at all production facilities and assure that
all lab testing equipment is in good working order at all
timesProvide support for PII's sales force, customers, and plant
managementBased upon customers' schedules and needs; can be
irregular should any material quality issues arise. Open
availability to work, days, evenings, overnights, and weekends when
business requires Position RequirementsEducation and
Experience:Proficient verbal and written English Legal right to
work in the USHands-on in manual labor environmentExperience in QC
within the Asphalt and Concrete Industry is a plus.Computer
literate and comfortable using Word, Excel and emailOther

Demands:This position works primarily indoors but occasional
outside work will be required. Heavy work that includes moving
objects up to 50 lb. or more. This position works on or near moving
mechanical parts and loud equipment. Requires the ability to sit or
stand for long periods of time as well as lifting, pulling,
bending, kneeling, squatting, climbing, walking, reaching, driving,
