Job Description:

This position is remote during COVID and then will be based in Connecticut.Promontory MortgagePath's information security team is growing and is seeking a Security Administrator to join our security operations team. This person will work in a dynamic information security team and be exposed to modern cloud technologies and security frameworks. You will be assisting the Promontory MortgagePath Information Security department in--continuously evaluating the threat-landscape for Promontory MortgagePath operations and service offerings. You will analyze cybersecurity concerns, emerging threats, vulnerability identification, threat hunting, and monitoring.

About the Job:

• Participate and lead key areas in the security incident response and investigation processes
• Monitor Cloud security operations in AWS and Microsoft O365
• Administer, monitor the security of serverless computing environments using Docker and Kubernetes
• Participate in external and internal audit assessments including SOC-2, PCI DSS
• Perform web application security scanning and penetration testing
• Perform root cause analysis and provide recommendations that will mitigate potential impacts
• Provide analysis and investigation of security-related data (via SIEM) from a wide range of security products and devices to identify trends and anomalies indicative of malicious activities
• Contribute to security techniques and automation for internal use that enable the team to operate at high speed and broad scale. For example, automating steps in the security alert triage and analysis processes
• Provide situational awareness on the current threat landscape and the techniques, tactics, and procedures (TTPs) associated with specific threats
• Pursue actionable intelligence on current threats as they relate to Promontory MortgagePath
• Collaborate with other teams to stakeholder IT Security projects and initiatives such as internal audits and assessments
• Assist with documenting policies, standards, procedures, and processes relating to various Information security systemsAbout You:
  • 5+ years experience in a Security Operations role
  • Experienced (2+ years) with administration/management of SIEM, Cloud security, and containerization/Kubernetes platforms
  • Experienced (2+ years) with assessing security technologies and configurations
  • Demonstrated experience presenting information security concepts and risks to management level personnel of varying technical backgrounds
  • Deep understanding of network defense principles, common attack vectors, and attacker techniques
  • Deep understanding and experience with container security principles, securing of serverless computing, Kubernetes orchestration environments
  • Demonstrated knowledge of common adversary tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs)
  • Knowledgeable on network defense and intelligence frameworks such as MITRE ATT&CK Framework, Cyber Kill Chain, Diamond Model of Intrusion Analysis
  • Knowledgeable on cloud-based infrastructures (SaaS, PaaS, IaaS) and layer security responsibilities, including AWS and Microsoft O365Minimum Education, Experience, and Skill Requirements
    • Associates degree in computer science or related field. (A comparable combination of work experience and training may be substituted for education requirements.)
    • One or more of the following certifications: CISSP, CEH, CompTIA A+, Network +, or Security + certification, or equivalent certification from a reputable institution.SALARY RANGE:Salary range for this role is $95,000 - 115,000 per year
