Job Description:

The Monitoring Technician is responsible for ongoing surveillance of patient cardiac monitors and provides RN's and/or clinicians with immediate notification of any changes in cardiac rhythms. The technician delivers telemetry to units.



Minimum Education

• High School Graduate or Equivalent required. - - - -
• Successful completion of Basic EKG/Arrhythmia & Dysrhythmia Courses within 90 days of hire.
  
  Minimum Work Experience
  
  
  • - - - -
  • 1 year Monitor Technician experience in a hospital setting preferred - - - -
  • CMT, or Cardiac experience in related field preferred.
    
    Required Licenses/Certifications
    
    
    • - - - -
    • BLS Certification through American Heart Association. - - - -
    • National Monitor Certification (Certified Rhythm Analysis Technician (CRAT)) required within 12 months in position, from Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI), preferred.

      • Ability to quickly make decisions to report patient condition with minimal supervision. - - - -
