With focus on four key platforms, our vision is to provide topnotch patient care partnered with innovative technology to achieve better health outcomes.As the areas first all-digital, filmless diagnostic imaging center, Hudson Valley Imaging has been providing excellent patient care to Orange County and the surrounding areas since 2003.MRI Tech Job SummaryHudson Valley Imaging is currently seeking a Per Diem MRI technologist to scan in our New Windsor office every Saturday. The right candidate will provide prompt, efficient, courteous services to patients while performing high-quality MRI scans according to departmental policies pertaining to examination procedures. Must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to all patients served.Essential Functions of an MRI TechnologistAnalyzing patient histories and completing screenings for pacemakers and injuries where metal objects were involved.Preparing and administering contrast dyes.Addressing patients concerns and ensuring that they are comfortable and calm during scans.Performing regular inspections of the MRI equipment and machines, and scheduling maintenance and repairs as needed.Positioning the patients and completing MRI scans according to the physicians' specifications.Ensuring that the MRI rooms are kept clean, tidy, and safe at all times.Training junior MRI Technologists and providing support to new staff.Writing reports and escalating any problems to the relevant stakeholders.Carrying out quality assurance procedures and implementing improvements as required.Required Education and ExperienceCurrent ARRT licensureCurrent Healthcare Provider BLS card requiredPreferred Education and ExperienceHigh proficiency of PC systems, tools, and applications.What We OfferImmediately accrue PTO as you work!
