Excellence The Role: Our site in Danbury, CT is seeking a R esearch Scientist to join our team. In this role, you wil l contribute to ongoing research projects and support the development of new products within the Specialty Gas group. - What You'll Do : Conduct research and development activities focusing on the synthesis of specialty gases or liquids with high vapor pressures . C ritically review data and prepare technical reports to communicate findings for method development/validation, continuous improvement, and other projects . What We Seek : Master's degree in C hemistry , Materials Science , or related field with 6+ years' experience ; Ph.D. with 2+ years' experience . Synthetic background with experience handling and synthesizing air sensitive chemicals or toxic gases . Proficient with a breadth of relevant methodologies such as absorbance spectroscopy, infrared spectroscopy , residual gas analyzers, mass spectroscopy , and thermal and gravimetric analysis techniques . - Technical expertise in the Specialty Gas industry . Ability to collaborate with and mentor peers as well as effectively interact with colleagues at all levels of the organization . Experience creating and executing project s while maintaining timelines and budgets . Demonstrated oral and written communication skills through publications, patents, and oral presentation s .
