The Paramount at Somers is looking for an accomplished professional Memory Care/Dementia Specialist to join our Recreation Team. The candidate will provide therapeutic and social programming to meet the emotional, physical, and cognitive needs of our residents.
Responsibilities:

Responsible for creating and completing the monthly and daily memory care calendars
Take attendance during daily activities
Prepare MDS interview assessments, care plans and progress notes
Develop and implement daily programs

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Recreation Therapy, Certified Recreation Therapy Specialist CRTS preferred
Minimum of two (2) years experience with geriatric long-term population or therapeutic recreation environment required
Certification in dementia and/or behavior management
Computer skills including Microsoft Office (Word, and Excel) and EMR (Point, Click, Care)
Ability to read and understand task assignments; must have excellent communicattion skils

Salary: -Based on experience
