PROJECT LEAD FOR DEVOPS BREWSTER, NY FTE or Temp to Perm Onsite Position Required Skills: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field. 2-6 years of previous release and/or project management experience, with a solid understanding of project management principles. Demonstrated ability to coordinate cross-functional work teams toward task completion without direct reporting relationships. Demonstrated ability in people management, strategic planning, risk management, change management, and project management. Experience working with quality management approaches, techniques, and principles. Full understanding of software development lifecycle best practices. Self-motivated individual that possesses excellent time management and organizational skills. Experience with Systems/Network/Database Architecture, Command-Line Expertise, Server & Data Security, Scheduling Products (JAMS preferred), Docker/Kubernetes, SQL, GIT, Jenkins and Artifactory. Project Description: This position will be responsible for implementing and managing release processes for code through development, stage, and production environments. The Engineer, DevOps works collaboratively with all participants in software development projects and is supportive of developers, QA, and infrastructure as they set up their build dev/test environments. This position also works with management to improve the software engineering processes and practices associated with continuously building, deploying, and updating software and environments. Develop and maintain the processing, scheduling, and integrations of Client's enterprise applications. Manage risks and resolves issues that affect release scope, scheduling, and quality. Measure and monitor progress to ensure deliverables are tested and scheduled on time and within budget, and that they meet or exceed expectations. Collaborate with developers, project management and release management to ensure all required development tasks (unit tests, scheduling, documentation, etc.) are complete prior to stage/QA promotion. Coordinate release content and effort based on the service request backlog, business priority and cross-functional team availability. Ensure system processes and dependencies are properly managed and uptime maintained. Communicate all key project plans, commitments, and changes including requirements, QA plans, schedule, and scope changes. Manage relationships and coordinate work between different teams. Work with developers to produce Back out plans, Implementation Plans, and Run Books. Continually work towards making improvements in the production operational process. Develop scripts and automation tools used to build, integrate, and deploy software releases to various platforms. Maintain a release repository and manages key information such as build and release procedures, dependencies, and notification lists. Research new software development and configuration management methodologies and technologies and analyzes their application to current configuration management needs. This 12+ month position starts ASAP.
