Danbury, Connecticut, United States Operations Full TimeInjury Care Coordinator - Remote Home Based Open to Nationwide ApplicantsOverview:Are you energized by working in a fast-paced environment on the front lines helping injured workers? Would you like to be a part of a collaborative and dynamic team in an effort to provide an exceptional customer experience?As a remote Injury Care Coordinator, you will work from your home office and be responsible for the intake of information regarding injured workers. You are also responsible for answering and gathering data from the MCA twenty-four-hour Injury Reporting Hotline. In addition, you are responsible for gathering pertinent demographic data as well as all data related to the worker's injury. You will also assist callers with provider channeling, notifications of catastrophic injuries, call-aheads to treatment facilities, and the distribution of forms and reports.You must be a team player with excellent interpersonal listening and communication skills. Strong organizational skills focus on exceptional customer service, and attention to detail is necessary to ensure efficient and quality operations. This is not a telemarketing job and does not involve sales.Remote Injury Care Coordinator Responsibilities:Ensure that the Injury Reporting and Provider Identification System is answered in a timely manner meeting client specificationsTriage catastrophic injuriesProduce the First Report of Injury meeting the various client-specific and/or state-specific requirementsTriage Incident Only and identifying from the first report stage, the preliminary case status of the claimant (i.e. Medical Only, Lost Time, or Lost Time-Return to Work)Develop a detailed and intimate knowledge of all MCA client's specific operational procedures and productsConduct Initial Assessments as needed or indicated by the client, ensuring that the assessments are completed in a timely manner meeting the client-specific performance standardResolve all cases reported as problems. This will often involve direct telephone contact with MCA clientsAcquire and maintain knowledge and understanding of specific client needsRemote Injury Care Coordinator Requirements:Shift availability: Tuesday - Saturday (Noon - 8:30 pm)U.S. CitizenHigh School diploma, some college education preferred2 to 4 years of administrative, medical, or client service experience Proficient computer skillsAbility to prioritize workloadAbility to handle many varied assignments and tasksKnowledge of medical and insurance terminology preferredCustomer service-oriented experience with some decision-making responsibilitiesStrong Microsoft Office skills (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access)Proven ability to manage multiple projects at a time while paying strict attention to detailIn addition to a competitive salary, comprehensive health, and welfare benefits, MCA offers participation and vesting in a 401(k) plan with a company match.
