Administers and supports enterprise-wide network environment.
Works with others on application of wide area network (WAN), local
area network (LAN) systems and principles to support business
Supports enterprise-wide network & systems integration. Resource
optimization through performance of network assignments, correcting
network problems & supports assigned projects. Ensures application
of infrastructure quality standards.
Maintains high network reliability and availability in assigned
area through utilization of network management tools (such as HP
Open View & Optivity), other infrastructure management/monitoring
tools & IT industry standards (such as SNMP).
Supports network stability and integrity in assigned area
through security administration & monitoring & adherence to &
effective use of change management.
Supports Information Technology knowledge management through
documenting and maintain network standards, processes & practices
Performs additional network responsibilities (such as backups
and printer support) & other duties (such as server installation &
application installation & support) as assigned.
Provides support & maintenance by responding to service
requests. Events logged in departmental problem management &
reporting system. Maintains contact with customers. Troubleshoots &
corrects network problems. Seeks technical assistance when
