Job Description:

System Freight, Inc. is seeking a proficient Local CDL-A Driver to join our dedicated team focused on delivering direct-to-store logistics and fleet outsourcing services across the Northeastern United States. This role is pivotal in ensuring the safe, timely, and efficient delivery of goods, contributing to the heartbeat of regional commerce and customer satisfaction. Ideal candidates are detail-oriented professionals with a commitment to safety and customer service. Safely operate a tractor-trailer/truck to complete assigned routes and deliver freight in a timely manner. Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance planning. Plan routes efficiently and adjust for traffic and weather conditions to ensure optimal driving conditions. Follow all applicable laws and regulations as well as company procedures regarding transportation and safety. Manage documentation related to dispatch, route plans, and delivery, including proof of delivery and expense tracking. Communicate effectively with dispatch and customer service teams to update on progress and coordinate activities. Analyze and report any service incidents or delays and provide detailed feedback to management for improvements. Skilled in safe driving best practices. Familiarity with electronic equipment and software (GPS, AVL units, CB, etc.). Ability to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions, etc.).
