Position DescriptionJob Summary: The Corporate Paralegal will work in a highly collaborative and integrated fashion with business and legal leadership members of Peckham Industries. This position will work closely with the Chief Legal Officer on an array of assignments to coordinate the strategic growth and functionality of the corporation and its subsidiaries.Essential Functions: Acts as point of contact for incoming inquiries to the Legal Department, internally and externally.Conducts factual and record research as needed and assists in drafting form legal documents, including for various core commercial operations, and in collaboration with Peckham's business development/M&A function. Preliminary review and population of legal agreements and documentation including requests for proposal; bid documentation; proposal letters; professional services agreements; confidentiality agreements; supplier/vendor agreements; purchase and sale agreements.Coordination of corporate filings, records and documents, including assisting with maintenance of corporate filings and organizational documents, obtaining certificates of good standing and authority.Performance of general secretarial duties, including general file support and management including document assembly, preparation of documents for filing and communication to external counsel, and general correspondence as needed; researching factual issues; document processing; policy review and presentation development and organization. Position RequirementsRequirements, Education and Experience:1.Paralegal AA or AS, or B.A. or B.S. degree, plus at least five years' of hands-on experience working on general corporate or transactional matters from either a law firm or in support of a corporate legal department.2.High degree of organization and attention to detail.3.Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.4.Ability to take initiative and work through difficult situations.5.Advanced computer literacy, Microsoft Suite preferred.6.Legal right to work in the U.S.Other Duties:Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
