development. How You’ll Make this Internship Opportunity Your Own
GDIT is seeking a talented Software Tester who is passionate about
technology and software applications. This individual must be
motivated to deliver innovative capabilities that directly impact
some of GDIT’s most complex government, defense, and intelligence
projects across the country. The work you’ll do will be impactful
to the mission of our NYS customer. You will play a crucial role as
you join our team in partnership with New York State of Health
(NYSoH) to provide comprehensive health coverage to more than 7.0
million New Yorkers through its Health Benefit Exchange (HBE). A
Day in the Life Assist in developing and executing integration and
system-level test plans Perform functional, regression, and
performance testing Document test cases, procedures, and results
clearly and accurately Identify, log, and help troubleshoot defects
and inconsistencies Collaborate with others to resolve issues
Support automation efforts using scripting or testing tools Analyze
test data and provide reports with recommendations Maintain current
knowledge of relevant technology as assigned. Participate in
special projects as required. Supports the completion of technical
tasks. Assists with the coordination for new products. Assists with
documentation for processes and procedures. Must Haves Currently
enrolled in an associate's, bachelor's or master's degree program
in computer science, IT, engineering, or other STEM field from a
United States-based college or university. Core languages and
Object-Oriented programming coursework including a minimum of one
Java course System Design, Data Structure, Application Framework,
and Web Development course work. Basic understanding of Microsoft
Office Suite (Work, Excel, SharePoint, PowerPoint, and Teams)
Strongly Preferred Experience Testing methodologies (unit,
integration, system testing) Familiarity with tools/concepts like
Git version control, SQL databases, Testing and Cybersecurity. What

members. Be self-aware enough to identify and correct your mistakes
and not be afraid to ask for help when needed. Prioritize tasks and
responsibilities. Be active in seeking out ways to develop yourself

with an ability to identify and solve complex problems related to
rapidly changing technology. A sense of genuine, intellectual
curiosity and a nimble mindset Familiarity with IT systems and
demonstrated proficiency in various programming languages.
Understanding of software development best practices Understanding
of automation technologies and ITSM concepts. . GDIT interns are
paid full-time (40 hours/week) for 10 consecutive weeks. Applicants
should have a minimum of one semester remaining in their studies

between $21.25 - $28.75. This is not, however, a guarantee of
compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on
experience, geographic location and possibly contractual
