Role: Telecom Test Lead

Key Responsibilities and Skills Required:

Testing Skills

Test Planning & Strategy: You'll be expected to develop comprehensive test strategies and plans.
Test Case Design: Create detailed test cases based on product requirements.
Test Automation: Automate testing processes using appropriate tools.

Cloud & Telecom Knowledge

Cloud Platform Products: Understanding of how cloud-based services and infrastructure work.
Telecom Domain Expertise: Knowledge of telecom technologies, standards, and operations is crucial.
Product Knowledge (e.g., Flow one, UIV, NORC): Familiarity with specific Nokia/telecom products/tools is important (possibly internal tools/products used in telecom service delivery).

Analytical Skills

Problem Solving: Strong skills to diagnose and resolve technical issues.
Risk Assessment: Ability to identify risks in the testing or delivery process and propose mitigation strategies.

Service Order Management

Understand software that automates how service orders (like new internet or phone plans) are fulfilled and delivered to customers.

End-to-End Service Fulfillment

Experience with hybrid (physical + virtual) service testing and catalog-driven service orders - meaning services are defined in catalogs and provisioned automatically.

Network Functions & Virtualization

CNF (Container Network Functions) and CNF Manager: Knowledge of deploying and managing network functions in containers (like Docker, Kubernetes).
SDN Controllers: Familiarity with software-defined networking tools that help manage network traffic intelligently.

Mobile Network Services

Experience with virtualized services like:
VoLTE (Voice over LTE)
VoWiFi (Voice over Wi-Fi)
vIMS (Virtual IP Multimedia Subsystem)
vVAS (Virtualized Value-Added Services)


5G/4G Technologies

Network Slicing: Know how to manage and orchestrate 4G/5G network slices (customized virtual networks on shared physical infrastructure).
Subscriber Provisioning on Slices: Ability to set up subscribers within those virtual networks.
Sub-slice Management: Further granularity in managing network resources within a slice.

Infrastructure Knowledge

Understanding of both physical (hardware-based) and virtual (cloud-based) network elements.
