This opportunity is contingent upon the successful award of a
contract Summary Bus Company Holdings US, LLC (dba Coach USA), a
motorcoach transportation company, is looking for a full-time
Operations Manager with 3-5 years of experience. The incumbent will
report to the General Manager. The Operations Manager will assist
the General Manager with directing and coordinating all activities
of the location to obtain optimum efficiency and economy of
operations. The GM will interface with drivers and dispatch
personnel on a daily basis to coordinate all phases of charter,
schedule, and tour departments. In addition, the person in this
role also assists in the growth of the business through excellent
customer relations and service and ensuring business continuations
by growing and developing his/her staff. Responsibilities: /n /n -
Interface with both customers and Coach USA staff
(dispatchers/drivers) /n - Ensure a daily consistent set up of all
gates in preparation for rush hour /n - Must be knowledgeable of
all gates and routes /n - Provide a nightly recap of operations at
all four locations /n - Will communicate with central dispatch at
all locations when necessary /n - Ensure employees are following
proper policies and procedures /n - Responsible for maintaining
operational budgetary requirements and apply solid business
principles /n - Reviews paperwork turned in by drivers to ensure
pay and billing data is complete and accurate /n - Audits all
operational documentation, including work tickets against dispatch
day sheet/ schedule /n - Reviews and adjust schedules to assure
efficiency and vehicle and operator availability. /n - Assigns
operators and vehicles to routes and schedules, coordinating last
minute changes accordingly /n - Forwards safety items to
Maintenance Department /n - Enters Operator/coach assignments into
Distinctive program /n - Recommends and processes disciplinary
action, when appropriate, to General Manager. /n - Responds to
customer problems and complaints; takes action or coordinates with
appropriately to provide a solution /n /n Requirements: /n /n -
Strong written and verbal communication skills /n - Must be
self-motivated /n - Ability to demonstrate problem-solving and
decision-making skills /n - Ability to lead and work independently
as well as in a group environment /n - Applicable computer
experience and skills /n - Must have the ability to determine
vehicle travel path to ensure safe and timely transportation of
passengers /n - Must have the ability to evaluate and determine
proper action in situations that may pose a safety risk /n - Must
have the ability to comply with current traffic and driver safety
regulations as well as all other applicable Federal, State, and
local regulations and system policies /n - Must have the ability to
learn, understand and follow all public transit routes/schedules /n
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment /n -
