Waterview Hills Campus is home to Waterview Hills and Salem Hills Rehabilitation & Healthcare: Two facilities committed to providing outstanding both Subacute Rehab and Long-Term Skilled Nursing Care. Together, these facilities offer patients the best rehab and nursing care they can obtain after their hospital discharge Line Cook: is responsible for preparation/cooking of foods and to provide our residents with all of their meals and/or snacks in a sanitary and safe manner adhering to all policies and procedures of the facility while focusing on customer service and satisfaction. Provide our residents with all of their meals in a sanitary and safe manner adhering to all policies and procedures of the facility and New York State Department of Health codes while focusing on customer service and satisfaction. Prep Cook: Assisting in the preparation of foods according to established therapeutic menus and recipes for both residents and personnel in accordance with the sanitary requirements of Part 14 of Chapter I of the State Sanitary Code; Adhering to the standards of kitchen sanitation, food production & portion controls, therapeutic menu extensions and all policies pertinent to the dietary department; Helping prepare resident meals following the established production process in order to serve all residents their meals as prescribed by their physician Following standardized recipes and the portions indicated in the therapeutic menu extensions; Adhering to all recipes, menus and extensions authorized by the Food Services Director, Food Services Supervisor and/or Dietician; The timely preparation of all foods so that each meal is prepared on time in accordance with the established meal and service delivery times. Requirements:
Education: Some High School Required
Work Experience: A minimum of two years experience and training in food preparation in a health care facility or related food service operation. Completion of an approved sanitation course or equivalent.
Job Knowledge/Requirements: Must have a full knowledge of all sanitary codes and all menu production methods. Excellent communication and organization skills. Ability to work well under pressure and be flexible. Exemplary customer service skills
