Job Description:

Albany Medical Center, a leading healthcare system combining high-quality patient care with pioneering education and research, is seeking a dedicated Clinical Nurse II for our Ortho/Spine unit. This position offers the unique opportunity to work in a dynamic environment dedicated to patient recovery and rehabilitation following orthopedic and spinal surgeries. Our nurses are integral to our patient care, providing compassionate support and advanced nursing practices to ensure the best outcomes for our patients. Provide direct and comprehensive nursing care to orthopedic and spine patients. Assess patient conditions through vigilant monitoring and physical exams. Administrate medications, wound care, and other personalized interventions as prescribed. Collaborate with orthopedic surgeons, physical therapists, and other healthcare professionals to develop care plans and participate in rounds. Educate patients and their families on post-operative care and lifestyle adjustments. Maintain patient records and document all care provided. Support patients’ emotional and psychological needs. Expertise in orthopedic and spine care. Proficient in surgical aftercare and pain management. Ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice. CPR/BLS certification. Orthopedic Nurse Certified (ONC) preferred.
