Job Description:
Albany Medical Center seeks a dedicated and skilled Clinical
Nurse III for our specialized C4/C3W Infectious Disease Unit. In
this role, you will be at the forefront of patient care in the
combating of infectious diseases. This position demands a high
level of expertise in infection control protocols and a
compassionate approach to patient interactions. As a central member
of our care team, you will work closely with specialists in
infectious disease management, contributing to our mission of
excellence in education, research, and patient care. Provide direct
and specialized care to patients with infectious diseases
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed and monitor for
side effects Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to plan,
implement, and evaluate patient care plans Educate patients and
their families on disease prevention and manage home care plans
Maintain high standards of safety and cleanliness to control
infection spread Participate in training and research activities to
stay updated with the latest in infectious disease care Strong
clinical skills with a focus on infectious diseases Ability to work
effectively in high-pressure environments Excellent interpersonal
and communication skills Profound knowledge of hygiene protocols
and infection control Proficient in using medical software and
clinical information systems Medical Insurance Dental Insurance
Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Registered Nurse (RN) license
in the state of practice Certification in Infection Control (CIC)
