Active registered nurse license in New York State Graduate of an
accredited nurse anesthesia program Certified or recertified by the
AANA Council on Certification of Nurse Anesthetists At least 1 year
of CRNA experience in a hospital or clinical healthcare setting
CRNA Responsibilities Perform comprehensive pre-anesthesia
assessments for surgical patients Obtain and verify informed
patient consent for anesthesia procedures Discuss anesthetic
options, risks, and benefits with patients Induce, maintain, and
manage emergence from anesthesia during surgeries Monitor and
document patients’ physiological status throughout anesthesia care
Perform clinical interventions and respond to anesthesia
