Registered Nurse (RN) | Emergency Room (ER) / Trauma Location: Edison, NJ Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,296 per week Shift Information: Days - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 21 Weeks Start Date: ASAP About the Position Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Department Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 1 year of recent Pediatric ED experience required License: State Professional Registered Nurse license or multi-state compact license required Certifications: BLS-AHA, ACLS-Telemetry, PALS, NIHSS required Must-Have: - Minimum 18 months of nursing experience in an ED environment - ED experience within the past six months - Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities necessary to formulate effective nursing care plans - Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services - Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and hospital personnel Description: Our Emergency Department RNs must be ready to care for patients when they need us most. In addition to providing specialized and innovative services, our ED RNs must be equipped to handle a variety of emergency situations for patients of all ages. Our Emergency Department nurses are trained in dealing with various trauma situations requiring quick and decisive actions. Ideal prospective ED RNs must quickly and accurately assess incoming patients with both physical and mental health conditions. They must be able to prioritize their injuries and medical needs accordingly. This is a fast-paced, high patient acuity Pediatric Emergency Department. The Pediatric Emergency Department can see up to 80 patients per day. Float requirements include floating within the department to Adult ED, Pediatric ED, and Intermediate Care. Candidates must be highly reliable and available to work all days other than those disclosed prior to the offer. Alternative jobs that interfere with this schedule should not be held.
