Job Opportunity – Progressive Critical Care Unit RN – New York Start Date: January 25, 2026 Location: Albany, New York Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants Schedule: Average patient load of 3 high acuity patients Highlights: Provide critical care for medically delicate and surgically complex patients including respiratory failure, sepsis, closed head injuries, multi-system organ dysfunction, endocrine disorders, complex traumas, and surgical complications Advanced hemodynamic monitoring and management including pressor titration protocols, antihypertensive drips, sedative and narcotic infusions, and thrombo-embolic therapy Work with sophisticated equipment and protocols including arterial lines, central venous pressure monitoring, external ventricular drains, orthopedic traction, HFNC, BiPap/Cpap, and infection prevention measures Epic EMR system utilized throughout the facility Competency assessment required within 24 hours of application submission Navy blue scrubs required Requirements: Current RN license in New York State Epic EMR experience required ACLS certification required Competency in caring for both medical and surgical patient populations Strong background in large-scale adult Progressive Care Unit or community hospital ICU settings preferred Experience with advanced hemodynamics and critical care protocols Why It's a Great Opportunity: Join a skilled nursing team providing exceptional care to the region's most critically ill patients in a progressive care environment that bridges the gap between general medical-surgical and intensive care.
