AlliedTravelCareers is working with Centra Healthcare Solutions to find a qualified Physical Therapist (PT) in New Windsor, New York, 12553! Pay Information $2,300 per week About The Position A great SNF / LTC is looking for an experienced or newly graduated Physical Therapist / PT to join their growing team for a contract assignment! The Physical Therapist / PT is responsible for the assessment of referred patients that require rehabilitation services which includes; providing direct patient care to assess their medical condition, functional capabilities, limitations and restrictions and potential for rehabilitation. Also, the Physical Therapist / PT will establish and administer a treatment program with specific goals determined according to the patient s capacity and tolerance under the direction of the Physician. As well, the Physical Therapist / PT must set realistic and achievable goals for their patients, document and record the patient s condition and educate patients and families in an appropriate physical therapy method. Requirements include: Doctoral Degree or master's degree in physical therapy from an accredited school. Licensed with NYS Department of Education, or eligible for licensure (temporary permit). Have the ability to lift up to 50 lbs, push and pull students in wheelchairs, lift, bend, squat, turn in the knees, pivot and grasp with both hands (in order to properly and safely perform the techniques taught in CPR/First Aid, behavior intervention techniques, and lifting and carrying techniques), with or without a reasonable accommodation.
