Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Home Health Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 hours (08:00 - 17:00) Experience: Minimum 1 full year Home Health Experience or 1 full year Hospice experience depending on the specialty. License: Must have a valid nursing license in hand. Certifications: CPR, BLS Must-Have: - Proficient in Oasis. - Proficient in HomeCare HomeBase EMR and must have used it within the last 6 months. Description: The Registered Nurse provides and directs home nursing care according to physician orders. Care is based on agency policies and procedures. The Registered Nurse is responsible for the competent application of the nursing process. This role includes supervision and evaluation of Home Health Aides and Licensed Practical Nurses/Licensed Vocational Nurses. The position involves making home visits and attending periodic office meetings. Reliable transportation, a current driver’s license, and agency-required liability insurance are required. The average number of patients per day ranges from 5 to 10. The position has a point system where each type of visit and activity holds a different point value. The Registered Nurse is expected to meet a productivity expectation of 30 points per week. Types of cases include Start of Care, Wound Care, Follow-up Visits, etc. Candidates must understand that there are no guaranteed hours with this contract. All documentation must be completed within 24 hours of each appointment. Delayed and incomplete documentation that impacts billing and follow-up care may result in cancellation. Candidates must be comfortable traveling up to 75 miles from the assigned care center. The role may involve weekend rotation and on-call duties, which will be discussed during the interview. Local candidates are welcomed and accepted at the same rate. All travelers must demonstrate proficiency in required systems and processes.
