Job Title: Sterile Processing Technician Location: Holmdel, NJ Employment Type: Full-Time, Contract (Temporary) Schedule: Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM (weekends as needed; weekday off given when weekend worked) Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated Sterile Processing Technician to join our team on a contract basis. This role is critical to maintaining sterile surgical instruments, patient care equipment, and reusable medical devices to support operating room efficiency and patient safety. Key Responsibilities: Clean, process, assemble, and sterilize surgical instruments and patient care equipment following departmental protocols Operate sterilization equipment (Steam, ETO, Sterrad, Steris) and perform biological and Bowie-Dick tests ensuring accuracy and compliance Complete sterilization documentation accurately including chemical integrator readings and computerized instrument count sheets Prepare and assemble case carts based on surgeon preference and notify nursing teams of missing items Maintain supply inventory and notify coordinators of shortages or equipment needs Follow Universal Precautions and proper PPE use at all times Lift up to 50 lbs., push/pull 60 lbs., and stand for entire shift Work rotating shifts including weekends and holidays as required
