Days/ evenings/ Nights (5x8-Hour) (40 hours per week) Duration:
13-week assignment with potential for multiple extensions We are
seeking a Sterile Processing Technician (SPT) to support surgical
services by ensuring that all surgical instruments and medical
equipment are properly cleaned, decontaminated, sterilized, and
distributed in accordance with regulatory standards and hospital
protocols. This role is critical in maintaining patient safety and
supporting operating room functions. Clean, decontaminate,
sterilize, and assemble surgical instruments, medical devices, and
equipment Operate sterilizers (Steam, ETO, Sterrad, Steris) and
ensure correct biological and Bowie Dick test procedures are
performed and documented Utilize computerized instrument tracking
systems and count sheets Assemble case carts based on surgeon
preference cards and confirm availability of required equipment and
supplies Notify surgical staff of missing or delayed items and
assist in troubleshooting equipment or inventory issues Maintain
sterilization records and labeling accuracy per departmental
procedures Distribute sterile equipment and supplies throughout
departments Lift up to 50 lbs., push/pull up to 60 lbs., and stand
for long periods during shifts Adhere to infection control,
universal precautions, and appropriate PPE usage at all times
