Intervention Awards for 2021, 2022 B10E/SD is a 23 bed acute care
medical cardiology unit, which includes a 9 bed Step Down level of
care. The primary patient population is advanced heart failure.
There is a comprehensive orientation, which will prepare you to the
care for the advanced heart failure patient, including the
management of continuous IV inotropes, continuous IV diuretic
infusions, patients with LVAD’S (Left ventricular assist device)
and patients who are admitted for TAVR workups/procedures. We have
a dynamic nursing team on B10E/SD, and, if you are looking for an
opportunity to continuously grow and develop as a professional
nurse, you will certainly have that experience. The assistant nurse
manager supervises a work group to ensure that a high quality,
cost-effective product or service is delivered in support of the
hospital's strategic plan, and the function's goals and objectives.
They model the effective, efficient operation of the unit by
scheduling and assigning work, resolving processing problems,
collecting data to monitor progress, and carrying an assigned
workload or filling in as necessary. While continually strives to
improve quality and productivity by identifying improvement
opportunities, and recommending and implementing changes. They will
implements and monitors departmental goals and objectives for the
work group that align with the strategic direction of the
organization, by analyzing needs and developing recommendations.
The assistant nurse manager will implements individual performance
expectations; coaches, develops, and provides input to performance
evaluations to enable employees to be successful in contributing to
the achievement of individual and work group objectives.
Qualifications • Current Connecticut RN License. • Graduate of an
accredited nursing school (BSN required). • BLS certification by
the American Heart Association and proof of Arrhythmia
Certification required prior to date of hire. Prior leadership
experience and/or unit committee work highly preferred. Specialty
certification highly preferred. Strong communications skills
