Job Summary

• Provide direct nursing care for patients undergoing surgical procedures
• Promote safe care through evidence-based practices as the RN Circulator
• Support the surgical team in maintaining a high level of sterility Responsibilities
  • Assess patients' physical, psychosocial, and age-related needs
  • Review charts for completeness before and after procedures
  • Adhere to health and safety standards
  • Communicate with patients, teammates, and physicians for continuity of care
  • Prepare the operating room for surgery
  • Monitor patient vital signs and sterilize the operating room
  • Position and prepare patients on the operating table
  • Pass medical instruments to surgeons during operation Qualifications
    • Registered Nurse with CT Department of Public Health license
    • Current BLS Provider certification from the American Heart Association
    • 2 years' experience as an Operating Room Nurse
    • Excellent knowledge of aseptic and sterile techniques
    • Strong understanding of patient safety and surgical procedures
    • Team player with excellent communication and time management skills
