SUMMARY:
The Emergency Room Registered Nurse / RN utilizes the principles of
the nursing process to provide for continuity and quality of
nursing care administered to a specific group of neonate,
pediatric, adolescent, adult or geriatric patients consistent with
the philosophy, goals, policies and procedures of the Nursing
Department and Hospital Administration. The Emergency Room
Registered Nurse / RN demonstrates the knowledge and skills
necessary to provide appropriate care to the age of the patient
served on the nursing unit or by patient care departments.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Education: -Graduate from an accredited school of nursing; BSN
preferred
Experience: -1+ years in Emergency Department preferred, Med/Surg
experience preferred otherwise
License: -Active Registered Nurse license in the state of NY
Certifications: -ACLS, BLS required, PALS preferred within 1 yr of
hire. (CEN and TNCC, preferred)
