Job Description:

Arms Acres is looking for a Registered Nurse to join our Admissions team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing nursing evaluations on all new admissions.PART-TIME NURSES ELIGIBLE FOR $4,800 SIGN ON BONUS *Payable in three increments*ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Complete a nursing evaluation on each patient presenting for admission, this will include a breathalyzer, vital signs, current and past alcohol and drug use patterns and medical and psychiatric history
• Document the level of care as required by NYS OASAS, and/or any other pertinent regulatory agencies
• Contact the Managed Care Company or the BHO to conduct a pre-certification review by presenting the patient information obtained during the Nursing evaluation, document the outcome on the last page of the nursing evaluation in the appropriate systems and arrange appeal review in the case of a pre-certification denial
• Triage patients in coordination with the medical and nursing Staff
• Participate in Performance Improvement Initiatives
• Additional duties as assignedREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS :
  • Current Registered Nurse licensed by the State of New York
  • Customer service, substance abuse treatment, and admissions experience preferred
