It is a full time Monday - Friday 40 hours per week exempt role covering Regional Hospices' defined geographic territory. Primary responsibility is ensuring quality coordinated care is rendered to assigned patients / families, group homes and skilled nursing facilities. This role requires the flexibility to adapt and readily respond to either the scheduled or emerging patient / organization needs of the day working closely with the triage and nursing supervisors to prioritize visits.After 90 days you are eligible for an agency owned vehicle.Registered Nurse - Utility RoleGraduate from a school of nursing with minimal of a BSN or an active license to practice nursing in the State of ConnecticutHospice / Palliative Care Certification preferred or actively working towards.Proven record of successfully managing patient pain and other symptoms.Knowledge of and compliance with applicable Agency and State and Federal Hospice Regulations.Critical thinker with keen attention to detail.Excellent communication skills.Prior computer technology experience in a hospice care setting desired.Transportation required.
