Job Description:
Responsible for all aspects of relationship management of small
business loan customers within designated regions; achieve goals as
established in the assigned department's annual operating plan;
coordinate work within the unit or department, as well as with
other units or departments; comply with operating policies and
procedures; communicate with appropriate personnel; respond to
inquiries or requests for information; maintain appropriate records
and providing assigned reports.Responsibilities:Responsible for
managing all aspects of small business lending relationships,
within designated market, of which the following are
illustrative:Prospecting, business development and selling and
cross-selling.Negotiate and structure commercial loans and
mortgages under the Bank's Small Business Lending programs.Submit
sponsored loan proposals to Credit Underwriting.Monitor sponsored
loan packages through the closing process.Oversee the maintenance
of the regional small business loan portfolio.Establish strategies
designed to increase regional volume (deposit and loans) and
regional portfolio growth.Coordinate sales and product training
activities with assigned retail bank branches, visiting the
branches, participating in joint sales calls and sales meetings and
other branch support activities.Send adverse action notices and
counter offer letter for denied applications.Maintain an up-to-date
working knowledge of all State and Federal regulatory guidelines
applicable to small business lending.Perform special projects as
required.Achieve goals assigned by Commercial Lending Department as
part of the assigned department's annual operating plan.Maintain a
thorough knowledge of the features and benefits of all Company
commercial credit products and services, in order to ascertain
customer needs and to sell in conjunction with these needs.Promote
and cross-sell all bank services whenever opportunities arise and
in accordance with established policies and procedures.Assist
customers in obtaining specialized services from other departments
as necessary.Maintain working knowledge of loan documentation
procedures.May attend sales and trade meetings as the Company's
representative to develop new business and to gain information and
leads on prospective accounts.Responsible for early detection,
reporting, and monitoring of problem credit. Responsible for
quality of own loan portfolio.Establish and grow COI network to
identify individuals and organizations likely to produce referrals
and develop relationships to increase the referral flow.Actively
employs strategies to expand business banking customers
relationships by identifying their needs and maximizing
opportunities.Coordinate specific work tasks with other personnel
within the unit or department as well as with other units and
departments in order to ensure the smooth and efficient flow of
information.Comply with established operating policies and
procedures in order to maintain adequate controls and to support
the Company's adherence to outside regulatory
requirements.Communicate with management and staff personnel in
order to integrate goals and activities.Maintain appropriate
records and provide assigned reports.All other duties as
assigned.Qualifications and Education Requirements:A Bachelor's
degree or equivalent professional experience in a related field,
preferred.A minimum of five (5) years' experience of small business
lending, branch management or commercial credit.Moderate
interpersonal relations and communicative skills.Comprehensive
knowledge of current lending and banking regulations, procedures,
and operations.Knowledge of various software applications and
programs.Proficient ability to analyze and interpret financial
