As an Order Management Associate you will part of our Inventory Management team and responsible for managing the full lifecycle of factory purchase orders to fulfill inventory requirements. You will also work to respond to order status requests from our Client Services team as well as properly maintaining factory relations and standards. This role supports all of our sales channels, including commercial and international sales channels. This is a hybrid role requiring some in-office presence.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for purchase order life cycle from submission to receipt
  • Purchase order maintenance including accuracy of dates, shipping statuses, pricing and notes
  • Responsible for quoting of custom and special order pricing, lead time and availability requests and inquiries
  • Work closely with Accounting on invoice discrepancies and factory payment delays
  • Communicates with Product Development, Distribution Center and Client Experience teams regarding purchase order delays and shipping issues
  • Works to improved lead time, shipping and delivery performance from suppliers as warranted
  • Act as a liaison between Factory and Commercial Support Team regarding product availability, purchase orders and status of existing Commercial projects.
  • Other duties or special projects as assigned

    Required Skills / Experience

    Required Skills/Experience:

    • Bachelors degree, or equivalent experience
    • 2 plus years of purchasing/order management experience
    • Customs/overseas importing experience
    • Detail oriented with excellent follow through skills
    • Good partnership and customer service skills
    • Good organizational skills with ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment
    • Ability to work in a team environment
    • Advanced MS Excel skills
    • Proficient computer skills to include all other MS Office Programs
    • JDE experience a plus
    • Plumbing or Surfaces experience a plus
