Job Description:
Job DescriptionThe Engineering Project Manager will be working
closely with the team members in a matrix environment to ensure
that all project requirements, deadlines, budgets, and schedules
are on track. Under the direction of the Sr. Director of
Engineering, the PM will oversee and manage selected capital
projects for the Brewster site with proper project scoping,
planning, development, and execution._ You Will Have the
Opportunity To: _ Plans and leads medium to large-sized capital
projects/programs with the ability to build and lead effective
internal and external project teams. Manages project scope,
schedules, finances, risks, and resources to meet project
objectives. Uses Front-End Loading (FEL) and/or Front-End
Engineering Design (FEED), and the Stage-Gate Process for
developing, leading and managing projects. Coordinates with and
influences cross-functional teams with competing goals to gain
alignment to the overall project plan and initiatives Defines
scope, deliverables, success criteria and key metrics of the
project in conjunction with site personnel and other key
stakeholders. Facilitates change requests to ensure that all
parties are informed of the impacts on schedule and budget. Makes
effective presentations of technical material to non-technical
people, both written and verbal. Prepares project
reports/presentations for management reviews. Proactive in dealing
with confrontation and delivering win-win solutions for the
business. Able to follow and champion the Capital Project
Management process to ensure effective project execution.
REQUIREMENTS: Bachelors Degree in Engineering Field, such as
Mechanical or Chemical Engineering Minimum of 10 years experience
of engineering in a manufacturing plant environment supporting and
managing medium to large capital projects up to $25M 5+ years of
experience in Project Management with track record of executing
projects successfully from concept to completion Solid
understanding of project management techniques and procedures
required Must be proficient with MS Office, MS Project, and Visio
Experience running projects in a metal industry PMP Certification
preferred Effective communication and presentation skills (verbal &
written). Must be comfortable speaking with employees at all levels
of the organization. Solid knowledge of contracts (design &
construction), schedules, cost estimating and the design process.
Approx. 50% domestic travel with occasional oversea trips for
capital projects. Must be legally authorized to work in the United
States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at
the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this
position._The selection of the person to be hired for this position
is contingent on the candidate having export compliance eligibility
for access to U.S. controlled technology which comes under the
licensing jurisdiction of the U.S. Department of Commerce, Export
Administration Regulations (EAR).__The candidate selected will have
to qualify as either a U.S. citizen, a U.S. National, a lawful
permanent resident of the U.S., a Person Admitted into the U.S. as
an Asylee or Refugee., a National of a country that is not
prohibited from approval for an export license by the governing
