The ultimate charge of the Collaboration team is to create greater
transparency and alignment through more planned, structured, and
strategic internal communications across the Chicago Booth
landscape, in the service of creating a more informed,
collaborative, and unified community. The Associate Director of
Collaboration will develop and support enterprise-level internal
communications processes and solutions that are focused on
inspiring and connecting Booth's internal audience.With this focus
on agile and connective processes, the Associate Director will help
design and support creative strategies for communicating with and
engaging internal audiences. Central to this work will be
partnering with the Director to develop an engaging digital
strategy, including processes for auditing and updating
enterprise-level content that articulate and connect internal
audiences with Booth's brand, values, and priorities, creating
greater awareness, affinity, and advocacy amongst internal
audiences. The Associate Director will support an internal
communication network at Booth, sharing brand guidelines,
communications support, and best practices amongst all
communication professionals. The Associate Director will also
aggregate existing communications tools and resources and assist in
developing additional training and documentation for internal
communications.ResponsibilitiesSupports transparency, aligns
existing channels for communications, and ultimately bridges silos
within Booth.Supports a communications network amongst Booth key
communicators. Develops operational protocols, shares information,
and promotes best practices.Discovers creative ways to reinforce
and educate internal audiences on the mission, vision, and goals of
Booth.Promotes understanding of the brand and community, ultimately
strengthening affinity and advocacy amongst internal
communities.Supports Booth Management Group's meeting logistics.
Shares agendas, notes, and pre/post-meeting communications.Serves
as a member of the Booth editorial group. Creates and shares
relevant Booth content to internal audiences.Partners with Director
of Communications and Public Relations and team. Coordinates and
disseminates critical information relative to crisis and
reputational management situations.Coordinates with University of
Chicago Communications department. Collects and shares relevant
internal news and communication amongst Booth populations.Acts as a
researcher and planner for a wide array of efforts led by the
department/division.Develops and maintains a database of peer and
competitor profiles. Helps establish and maintain a database of
faculty (international) research topics and international
inter-institutional collaborations.Performs other related work as
needed.Minimum QualificationsEducation:Minimum requirements include
a college or university degree in related field.Work
Experience:Minimum requirements include knowledge and skills
developed through 5-7 years of work experience in a related job
discipline.Certifications:Preferred
QualificationsExperience:Internal communications professional with
a minimum of five years relevant experience.Experience in a large,
matrixed organization.Preferred CompetenciesStrong interest and
expertise in communications-related process flow management and
improvement.Exceptional project management and organizational
skills, including the ability to meet multiple external and
internal deadlines.Exceptional written and verbal communication,
problem-solving, decision-making, client service, proofreading, and
cross-department collaboration skills.Self-motivated go-getter with
a positive attitude; work independently with a high degree of
initiative.Strong business acumen and emotional
