Job Overview:

Linde has an immediate opening for an Executive Account Manager with Linde Gases US division located in the northeast region. The Executive Account Manager will be responsible for developing and growing relationships with some of Linde's largest customers.

This key position will have a direct report impact on Linde's P&L and will position Linde for future success. The ideal Executive Account Manager will; manage all aspects of the customer relationship; develop strategies to retain and grow executive accounts; coordinate with other divisions to showcase complete Linde capabilities; negotiate and close multi-site contracts; drive growth by successfully promoting Linde's offerings and services.

Primary Responsibilities:

Relationship Management

  • Understand customer applications/needs and Linde offerings in order to best serve customer
  • Establish and maintain relationships with decision makers and end users at current and potential locations
  • Manage new opportunities within assigned customer base: prospecting, qualifying, working with technical resources to develop solutions, develop proposals, write contracts and manage contract negotiations
  • Recognize and expand opportunities at existing customers by bringing solutions and value to customers
  • Analyze and report on competitive activity within executive accounts

    Development of Account Strategy
    • Develop a strategic plan for each customer, including needs analysis, growth strategy and a renegotiation plan
    • Influence and lead cross-disciplined teams to achieve desired end results
    • Understand the value of Linde's products and application technology in developing pricing recommendations

      Contract Negotiations and Management
      • Review financial model for each proposal and work closely with capex team to gain requisite corporate approvals
      • Respond to customers in a timely manner while executing on business attainment strategies
      • Work closely with legal counsel to thoroughly understand, communicate, and negotiate Linde's supply contracts
      • Ensure compliance with contract terms and conditions
      • Monitor life cycle of contracts and develop appropriate account management strategy

        Account Management
        • Manage all aspects of customer relationship for assigned accounts
        • Provide direction and insight for proper contract administration throughout the contract term
        • Serve as escalation point for other customer facing parts of the organizations. such as service, logistics and billing
        • Coordinate and guide Linde interactions with customer

          Qualifications:

          • Required Qualifications:
          • Five to ten years business to business sales experience/interactions
          • Excellent interpersonal communication and time management skills
          • Proficiency in developing internal and external presentations and proposals
          • Proficiency in excel to analyze customer portfolio and opportunity value
          • Ability to be assigned a company vehicle for regular travel in assigned geography and occasional overnight and air travel
          • Bachelor's Degree in business, engineering or related field
