  • Develop and lead Transportation and Distribution strategies, policies, business practices, and programs to support the short and long-term business needs to drive various operations, replenishment, and customer delivery models to support delivery as a competitive advantage
  • Drive operational, warehousing, and supply chain synergies and efficiencies across multiple sites within region. Develop and manage operations-related plans, budgets, policies, and procedures consistent with driving value and high levels of performance on safety, delivery, quality, cost, and productivity.
  • Develop, implement and monitor the performance of global programs, processes and relationships to ensure the efficient and cost-effective movement of raw materials, work in-process and finished goods into and from factories, warehouses and distribution networks
  • Develop and execute a Logistics & Distribution Annual Operating Plan (AOP)
  • Negotiate transportation, distribution and services agreements and monitor trends in shipping patterns to value of overall freight spend
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory, trade compliance and company standards for Federal, state/provincial, and local EHS, within scope of role.
  • Direct responsibility and leadership over three distribution facilities in the US and Canada
  • Drives a safety culture in which clearly the expectation that all accidents are preventable. Supports the creation of health and well-being activities of all employees.
  • Enhances employee engagement through coaching, training, and development of employees. Fosters growth within the organization and implements succession planning. What You Will Need to Succeed:
    • Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations or related field; MBA preferred
    • 10+ years of increasing responsibility in the areas of Logistics, Distribution, Supply Chain or related field, including supervisory experience
    • Strong business acumen and analytical thinking, as well as strong supplier management and contract negotiation skills
    • Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively engage and influence across all levels of the organization
    • A strategic thinker with demonstrated experience driving strategies
    • Experience with large complex cross-functional projects
    • Ability to travel (domestic and international) up to 40% per year
    • Proactive change agent and a willingness to actively engage in what needs to be accomplished while coaching, mentoring, teaching, and training. Hands-on leader with the ability to inspire trust and confidence within a matrix environment.
    • Fosters an engaged and collaborative team environment: Acts as a coach and a leader to drive team performance and results through employee strengths and engagement
    • Takes action to meet customer needs and concerns: Frequently communicates with customers (internal, external; considers how actions or plans will affect the customer; responds quickly to meet customer needs and resolve problems; avoids over-commitments; ability to travel (domestic and/or international) to take action and address needs/concerns.
    • Drives operational excellence and continuous improvement: Creates an environment that allows and cultivates the achievement of current and future business goals through innovation, efficiency, process excellence, and accountability; strives for continuous improvement in process and business results through Lean tools and methodologies; sets and encourages others to set continually higher goals; strives to achieve best practices
    • Manages complexity and ambiguity: Actively balances multiple priorities that can shift or conflict with the dynamics of the business. Implements sound approaches that minimize or reduce non-value-added complexities; manages personal pressures associated with change; works to achieve effective systems; readily adjusts when implemented approaches do not work in order to reduce ambiguity.
    • Supply Chain Acumen: Oversees the development and execution of logistics strategies/playbooks, drives utilization of common tools to achieve optimal results that are Quality, Delivery, Price and Service balanced and corporate/governmental compliant.
    • Project Management Excellence: Identifies needed resources, develops project plan, and drives project execution. Balances projects between short and long-term focus. Secures alignment with cross-functional business partners.
    • Strategic Thinking: Demonstrates regional and global knowledge of suppliers, industry trends, emerging markets and technology.
