Your experience, professionalism and knowledge of the market and resort will positively affect both the Resort and your performance.Resort Overview:The Margaritaville Lake Resort, Lake Conroe offers 335 Lakefront suites, including 32 lakefront, stand-alone cottages, with personal boat slips exclusively for the cottage guests. In addition, along with a 72,000 square foot, IACC-Approved Conference Center, a walk-on, 18-hole resort golf course, a family-friendly, 3-acre lakefront water park with a lazy river and multiple pools, a 37,000 square foot full-service spa, and an extensive 24-hour, health, racquet and fitness center. This resort will also offer an extraordinary culinary experience.Signature Margaritaville dining experiences:

  • License to Chill Bar Summary: The Director of Membership is first and foremost the central point of contact between the resort and the members for all matters of communication and membership benefits. The Director is also responsible for the sales and local marketing strategy as it relates to all membership programs. The Director of Membership will partner with the Sales and Operations Leadership Teams to successfully lead all sales related membership initiatives. Primary focuses will include continual improvement of program offerings and recruitment related events, efficiencies with the membership POS platform, sales associate training, as well as identifying ways to provide memorable experiences for our members. The Director of Membership will work closely with the Resort team to provide excellent Member/guest service and experience for Members and value-added offerings for prospective members.

    This is a highly visible and important role, since the candidate will be required to support and work with executives and users across the entire resort. The successful associate must be a passionate and a proactive visionary in developing strong team culture and a strong sales-oriented work ethic. In addition, the candidate must be a strong leader, extremely well organized, detail-oriented, and possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    -- Key Responsibilities:
    • First and primary contact for all members to the Resort
    • Maintains a positive relationship with all Members and Membership Committees
    • Achieve/Exceed all Membership goals and proforma
    • Be assertive and creative in developing Member events, value-add programming and socialization opportunities for prospective members
    • Effectively deploy all available resources; SM, Digital marketing, website, etc---to drive membership sales
    • Track progress of all membership sales results and usage through data analysis and reporting
    • Actively monitor and communicate venue successes and challenges as well as suggested solutions to other leadership team members to maximize revenues and ensure continuous program improvement
    • Maintain constant and positive communication with existing members
    • Continuously update rules & regulations as the property and Board deem required
    • Effectively onboard & integrate new members into club environment
    • Efficiently process all membership status change requests and keep detailed log
    • Actively look to connect members with prospective members for sense of community fit
    • Engage team members and encourage collaboration and creative programming
    • Explore new product offerings, member benefits and price promotions/strategies based on market trends as well as Associate and Guest/Member feedback
    • Collaborate with Sales Training Team to develop improved Membership training curriculum for new and existing venues
    • Foster relationships with venue sales and operations teams to ensure execution of excellent Guest/Member service and key operational practices related to membership program deliverables.
    • Have the ability to accurately forecast and budget Membership revenues and expenses. Key Qualifications:
      • 10+ years of Management experience
      • Minimum 5+ years Membership Sales or related leadership experience with high performance results required
      • Undergraduate degree preferred
      • Strong Microsoft suite understanding and skills preferred
      • Strong leader, extremely well organized, detail-oriented, and possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
      • Ability to manage projects with multiple tracks as a high-energy leader
      • Ability to develop clear action plans and drive processes with numerous interdependencies
      • Some business analysis experience (including implementation, tracking, problem resolution and reporting) preferred
      • A successful track record of collaborating with managers and executives at high levels in the organization, as well as staff users
      • Strong problem-solving skills, analytical capabilities, and collaboration skills
      • Must have attention to detail, a commitment to quality and be results driven and customer focused LANGUAGE SKILLS:--Ability to read, write, and verbally communicate effectively and professionally with other business departments, guests, and vendors. Ability to diplomatically deal with difficult situations and people, while exhibiting a consistent level of professionalism.PHYSICAL DEMANDS:--While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, or telephone.
