Our direct client is seeking an IT Project Manager to work in their Brewster, NY location. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity with possible hire.
The candidate must have recent experience managing/leading a large enterprise IDM/SailPoint and Workday in the Utilities Industry. The target start date is 2/22/2021!!
Please note that Utilities Industry Experience is a MUST for this role along with IDM/SailPoint and Workday.
The client will hire over a Video Interview and will begin the assignment remotely - once safe the consultant must be able to work onsite 5 days a week in Brewster, NY.

An IT Project Manager reports to the Director, IT PMO/VMO and leverages the Company's IT Project Management methodology to deliver moderate to large scale projects within scope, schedule, and cost criteria. This position partners with business leaders to design, plan, and manage cross-functional teams to a clearly-defined set of common goals. The IT Project Manager manages the entire project lifecycle from initiation through transition to operation (project closure). Responsibilities:People/Team

  • Demonstrates strong interpersonal and customer service skills to facilitate collaborative project deliveries and promote the value of project management across the organization
  • Manages vendor relationships throughout the duration of related projects and collaborates with vendor implementation resources to ensure alignment of expectations and deliverables
  • Collaborates with stakeholders to produce project artifacts that align within the appropriate stage of project execution (i.e. scope, schedule, budget, test plan, communication plan, education plan, activation plan, & change control)
  • Facilitates critical, time-sensitive discussions related to risks, issues, dependencies, and decision points with stakeholders and collaborates with the team to develop corresponding action plans
  • Actively contributes to the evolution of the IT PMO (Project Management Office) and VMO (Vendor Management Office) by recommending new efficiency-based processes, educating stakeholders on the value of project management, providing feedback during team discussions, and owning development and implementation of approved changes
  • Mentors Junior Project Managers and other project leaders within the organization to support the delivery of projects managed both within and outside of the IT PMO Project Management, Financial Strength & Risk Management
    • Understands and follows PMBOK and Agile project management frameworks to manage risks and facilitate the delivery of projects within scope, schedule, and cost constraints
    • Consistently provides effective status reporting that contains the appropriate level of actionable detail for Executive, Sponsor-level, and project team recipients
    • Creates and maintains accurate project budgets and actively manages costs throughout project lifecycle
    • Executes proper change control processes to provide transparency and effectively manage scope, schedule, and cost
    • Proficiently leverages Project Management tools such as MS Project, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, PPM and budgeting software to ensure high-quality project deliveries
    • Adheres to all policies and procedures, including but not limited to change management, incident reporting, time accounting, expense reporting, purchase requisition processes, and compliance requirements Requirements:
      • 7+ years of recent experience working as an IT Project Manager managing a IDM/SailPoint and Workday enterprise projects in the Utilities industry
      • 5+ Recent experience in Energy & Utilities or services industry is a must
      • Bachelor's degree (preferably in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration or a related field
      • Project Management Professional (PMP), Six Sigma, SLDC, or Agile certification
      • 7+ years of professional experience formally leading projects within a matrixed or co-sourced environment
      • Understanding of project delivery and acceptance processes within a fast-paced business environment
      • Experience providing service to internal stakeholders to achieve successful outcomes
      • Demonstrated capability for problem solving, decision making, sound judgment, assertiveness
      • Excellent oral and written communication skills as well as strong presentation skills and the ability to conduct presentations to large groups
      • Strong relationship building and interpersonal skills
      • Experienced user of MS Project and MS Office toolset (Word, Excel, Visio, and PowerPoint)
      • Valid driver's license Preferred:
        • Master's degree (in aforementioned fields)
        • Experience with PPM tools (e.g. Planview, ServiceNow, etc.)
