Job Description:
Key Responsibilities:• Troubleshoot and improve existing
stamping dies and machinery based on performance issues.• Work
closely with production and quality teams to ensure dies and
machinery meet performance standards, hold tight tolerances, and
perform consistently during long production runs• Apply knowledge
and experience of progressive stamping dies to design and fabricate
new dies to replace worn-out units and to manufacture new
products.• Use CAD tools to create and refine designs and create
technical drawings and documentation.• Use CNC vertical machining
center, lathe, grinders, EDM and/or basic shop tools to machine
progressive die components, replacement repair parts, and other
custom tools and fixtures to support manufacturing.• Order,
fabricate and maintain parts for dies to minimize production
downtime. Requirements:• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical
engineering preferred, but equivalent engineering degrees will be
considered.• Minimum Three (3) years of experience in the metal
working industry. Tool and Die preferred. Design knowledge specific
to the metal fabricating industry is a plus.• Ability to read and
interpret technical blueprints and design models.• Knowledge of
machine tools such as; CNC machining centers, wire EDM, milling
machines, lathes, grinders etc.• Working knowledge and skills to
run programs such as Solidworks, Mastercam and Fusion.• Strong
written and oral communication skills in English. Spanish a plus•
Able to perform bending, twisting, stooping, reaching and lifting
of moderate to heavy weight material up to 50 lbs. without
assistance from equipment or other employees.• Leadership skills to
step in for manager of tool and die department in his absence.•
