We utilize a cutting-edge electronic work order program that makes filling out work orders much easier and less time-consuming.\n First Transit is proud to offer:\n\n$22.50 to $25 / hour based on experience & qualifications (NOT flat-rate)\nThe shift is Monday - Friday 4:00 pm - 12:00 am\nASE certification bonus of up to $9,000 per year\nCompany-paid ASE testing and training materials\nConsistent full-time, year-round work\nAn excellent benefits package including medical, vision, and dental coverage, and a 401(k) savings plan\nAnnual Boot allowance and Safety glass allowance\nPaid holidays, vacation, & sick time\nOngoing company training on a state-of-the-art online system\nOpportunities for career advancement nationwide.\nA great work environment!\n\n Diesel Maintenance Mechanic Major Responsibilities:\n\nPerform vehicle maintenance and repairs to ensure vehicles are safe for our customers.\nDiagnose and perform all phases of vehicle and equipment repair, including the repair of brakes, engine tune-ups, suspensions, drive trains, transmission clutches, and other repairs accurately.\nEnsure work orders are completed properly and accurately. Maintain records of all maintenance work completed, including parts and supplies used.\nComplete preventative maintenance (PMs), safety inspections, and annual maintenance inspections.\n\n Diesel Maintenance Mechanic Qualifications:\n\nA valid CDL B license is required. \n1+ years of automotive or diesel repair employment experience or a combination of education & experience.\nMust have appropriate mechanic's tool set.\nASE certifications are preferred. Must participate in company ASE certification program (company training, testing, and bonuses provided!)\nSubject to DOT drug testing and physical.
