Job Description:
Position Overview:
You will have the overall responsibility for the planning,
scheduling, budgeting, and technical excellence of program or
project tasks. The Project Engineer (PE) will lead Integrated
Product Teams (IPTs) comprised of multi-discipline engineering
staff through the entire project life cycle. The PE shall serve as
the primary interface between the technical IPT and the program
office of the assigned project.
The Project Engineer ensures that informal and formal reviews occur
throughout the project lifecycle, are properly structured, include
internal non-advocates, and that all identified action items are
closed in a timely manner at the conclusion of each of review
phase. The Project Engineer oversees the execution of trade studies
defined by the IPT and verifies that a complete flow down of the
requirements and analysis of design performance is performed at the
various stages of development.
A Project Engineer with a background in a specific engineering
discipline may take on design development responsibilities aligned
with that discipline.
