Job Description:

We have an exciting new opportunity for a Chemical Process Engineer who is seeking to work in an environment that is fast-paced, high-energy, and professionally rewarding, while also friendly and team-oriented.
The manufacturing engineering team strives to set the standard for process safety, process quality, and operational excellence within the Specialty Materials and Gasses business unit at our Danbury, CT location!
Primary responsibilities include:

• Support current systems and processes for Specialty Gas Products. This will include monitoring process health and investigating deviations, authoring and maintaining process documentation, and leading continuous improvement and optimization initiatives;
• Investigate product or process failures and abnormalities, determine root cause, build corrective action plan and drive that plan to completion. This may include doing hands-on testing with toxic or dangerous materials;
• Completion of critical projects in a manner that satisfies the customer (internal or external) within the agreed upon timeline and budget;
• Implementation of improvements that help Entegris achieve its goal of being a best in class organization providing the highest quality product to its customers at the lowest possible cost;
• Support technology transfer from new product development to manufacturing working with a cross functional team that includes R&D, Product Management, Quality and Production.
  Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering;
  • 3-5 years experience in a manufacturing setting;
  • Hazardous gas handling or SCBA/respirator experience is a plus;
  • Ability to use Statistical Process Control, DOE, and Lean/Six sigma concepts in conjunction with statistical analysis software such as Minitab to monitor and improve a manufacturing process;
  • Proficiency in managing multiple projects in an ISO/GMP environment;
  • Experience using MES systems, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office.
    Physical Requirements:
    • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.;
    • Hazardous gas handling or SCBA/respirator experience is a plus.
