Working in our engineering department enables you to immediately support design and development on multiple product lines. This position requires close interaction with multiple internal departments as well as key customers. The ability to work cross culturally and cross functionally is necessary. An appreciation and understanding of the value of diversity in the work place will also be required. POSITION OVERVIEW The design and development of RF Coaxial connectors. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES * Usually works with minimum supervision, conferring with superior on unusual matters. * May be assisted by Entry/Junior or Intermediate Level personnel. * Assignments are broad in nature, requiring originality and ingenuity. * Has appreciable latitude for un-reviewed action or decision. * Utilize engineering software to draft connector components and assemblies. * Perform tolerance studies and DFMEA's. * Apply RF design concepts to design high performance transition lines. * Work with RF Engineer to validate and optimize RF performance. * Analyze or facilitate the analysis of mechanical testing requirements using FEA as required. * Process Engineering Change Orders and New Product Releases. * Perform and document electrical and mechanical testing of prototypes. * Build cost models for new product designs by working with manufacturing and external vendors. * Complete comprehensive product development projects to convert EAR opportunities into revenue. * Maintain ownership of all EARs and customers within assigned region * Organize and publish regional EAR reports with updates to drive weekly meeting agenda. * Provide basic training for new hires. * Maintain organized project files. * Travel with Sales team to provide technical presentations to customers as required. * Drive rapid resolution of quality and production issues related to product consumed within the region. * Assists in software/client set up and troubleshoot software issues for other engineers * Utilize offshore engineering resources to increase throughput * Ability to travel when necessary * Any other duties as assigned. EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering with minimum three (3) to eight (8) years related experience. Other requirements as necessary.
