OverviewAssistant Professor of Chemistry and Physics. Appointment at the Associate Professor level will be considered for the qualified candidateResponsibilities

• Teaching: Organic Chemistry 1 and 2 (lab and lecture), required; General Chemistry 1 and 2 (lab and lecture); advanced courses within the candidate's area of expertise.
• Advisement: Undergraduate student academic advisement
• Service: As required to further the Mission regarding the Department, University, and Community, including but not limited to textbook selection, course and lab design, committee work.QualificationsEducation/ Experience
  • Doctor of Philosophy in Chemistry required.
  • Doctor of Philosophy in Biochemistry required.
  • Proven (peer-reviewed publication, presentations, etc.) track record of research involving undergraduate students is required.Knowledge/ Skills/ Abilities
    • Demonstrated ability to develop positive and cooperative relationships with students, faculty, and colleagues required.
    • Familiarity in online learning platforms including Banner, Canvas, Blackboard, & Adobe Connect required
    • Demonstrated proficiency in communication (written and verbal) required
    • Familiarity with chemical laboratory safety issues
    • Ability to design and implement novel teaching lab modalities
    • Ability to set up and maintain a research program involving undergraduate students.Travel
      • The position is located mainly at our Brooklyn campus. Occasional teaching at our other undergraduate campuses in the New York are is expected.Maximum SalaryUSD $78,883.00/Yr.Minimum SalaryUSD $63,106.00/Yr.
