Task Order: HBITS-07-14361 Agency: State of New York – Office of
Temporary and Disability Assistance Location: Hybrid – Albany, NY
Duration: 4 Months Rate: Depends on experience Position Overview
This HBITS role will be responsible to complete a wide range of
design and graphics projects. The ideal candidate will be creative,
detail-oriented, and proficient in both print and digital media
production. Responsibilities Work with the Public Information
Office to discuss and determine design strategies. Create and
prepare design files for print and social media. Collaborate with
printers and other media producers to ensure that jobs are produced
and delivered as specified. Follow universal accessibility
guidelines for documents and publications. Design custom graphics
for use in agency communications. Create promotional and
presentation materials for executive staff and outreach, including
PowerPoints, signage, handouts, and similar materials. Design and
update the agency's forms, manuals, and PowerPoints using Microsoft
Office Suite and/or Adobe Creative Suite. Design graphics for the
agency website, web-based applications, and videos. Take
photographs at agency events. Review files when work is created by
other offices to ensure accuracy, proper application of branding
standards, and universal accessibility. Qualifications: Graphic
Designer Assembles images, typography, or motion graphics to create
accessible and memorable designs. Creates graphics primarily for
published, printed, or electronic media, such as brochures and
advertisements. May also be responsible for typesetting,
illustration, user interfaces, and web design. Specific Experience
Requirements: 3 to 5 years of professional experience; able to work
independently without assistance. 4 years of experience using Adobe
InDesign to create design files for print materials such as
brochures, pamphlets, signage, posters, etc. 4 years of experience
using Adobe Illustrator to create icons and graphics. 4 years of
experience using Adobe Photoshop for photo editing. 4 years of
experience creating digital graphics for social media. 4 years of
experience using Microsoft Office Suite. 4 years of experience
using digital cameras (point-and-shoot). 2 years of experience
working with outside commercial printers to produce brochures and
other materials. 2 years of experience creating PowerPoint
presentations. Education & Certifications: Bachelor’s Degree in a
design-related field such as Digital Design or Graphic Design.
Minimum of 4 years of relevant professional experience. A strong
portfolio of work demonstrating print and digital design skills.
Adobe Certified Professional (ACP) preferred. Ideal Candidate
Attributes Strong understanding of branding and accessibility
design standards. Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to manage multiple design projects simultaneously.
Detail-oriented with strong visual composition skills. Experience
coordinating with print vendors and managing production timelines.
Work Environment This position is hybrid , requiring both remote
and onsite work in Albany, NY . The role involves direct
collaboration with internal teams and occasional on-site
photography or design support during events. Required Documents
