We are seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to lead the ground-up construction of a $30 million midrise multifamily project in Rahway, NJ. This is a pivotal, boots-on-the-ground leadership role with a highly respected New Jersey-based General Contractor with nearly 50 years of industry excellence. Client Details Our client is a privately held, New Jersey-based General Contractor with close to five decades of success delivering high-quality multifamily, senior living, commercial, and institutional projects. Known for its stability, strong culture, and diverse pipeline, the company is trusted by both developers and repeat clients throughout the region. With an expanding portfolio, they are looking for long-term team members-not short-term job hoppers. Description Site Supervision: Serve as the on-site leader for a ground-up midrise multifamily project, from sitework through vertical construction to close-out. Team Leadership: Coordinate all phases of construction with project management, subcontractors, inspectors, and vendors. Schedule Management: Ensure schedule adherence, quality control, safety compliance, and budget management. Documentation: Lead daily site meetings, maintain logs, and communicate progress to project stakeholders. Quality Control: Problem-solve in real time and drive the project forward with a proactive, hands-on approach. Profile To thrive in this role, you must be someone who has: End-to-end experience managing ground-up construction projects-including sitework-not just interiors or fit-outs. Proven track record in multifamily and/or senior living midrise projects (5-8 stories ideal). A grounded, team-first attitude with genuine interest in joining a company for the long haul, not just for a paycheck. Strong technical knowledge of building systems, field operations, and sequencing. Excellent leadership and communication skills, capable of managing field crews and subcontractors effectively.
